We were casting around for places in the UK to visit for a holiday, and after narrowing it down to 'seasidey - oooh, an island!' we decided that, hey, the Isle of Wight would be worth a try. So we booked a hotel in Seaview, on the eastern side of the island.
Right on the seafront.
This was the view from our balcony.
And this is the view looking towards Seaview. We were a short walk from the centre, and this particular area was amazingly quiet.

Further along the seawall.
The seawall ends, and the tide rolls in.
The path leading from the seawall to the centre of Seaview.
The centre of Seaview.
Well, okay, it actually had a couple of shops, but for some reason we didn't take any photos of those. We took a photo of this bucolic road instead.
Looking along the shoreline back towards to the hotel, at sunset.
Awesome clouds over the sea.
Unfortunately, the beach wasn't as pretty at low tide. But great for beachcombing.
Seaview house names tends towards the twee and nautical. But we liked this one, and it had a cute cat nearby too.
