August, 2003
Conveniently enough, the hotel was on one of the main tourist streets, so we took an amble along Robson.

Robson Square and surrounds.
Another place we'd been advised to go to was Granville Island. It's a big market and tourist area, thronged with crowds.
But we didn't photograph any of that. We took a photo of Storme relaxing in the hammock shop instead.
We returned to Robson, accompanied by andyf, and went to admire the impressive library.
It is an utterly gorgous and photogenic building.
But wait, wasn't there a wedding we were supposed to be going to?
From left, clockwise: inky, Emily, Duchess, Sargent, Misty, Rob, Storme.
For the sake of trying to simplify things, everyone came by our hotel to get changed into their wedding outfits. The hotel very nicely let us use their gym facilities for this purpose.
Even we dressed up for the occasion.
The actual wedding was held in a formal garden belonging to the University of British Columbia. I have absolutely no idea where this park was in relation to the city itself, but thankfully other people were in charge of the navigation.
