August, 2003
Back in Vancouver, we checked into our hotel, and were somewhat pleased by the views from our balcony.
Not bad, is it?

The jetlag had really kicked in at this point, so we didn't get much sleep. We did take many photos from our balcony, though.
Everyone had told us to go to Stanley Park while we were in Vancouver. The hotel was only a few blocks from the park, so we decided to amble up there once we'd managed to get a little sleep.
It was indeed quite pretty. This is the Lost Lagoon, which was on the way into the main part of the park from our hotel.
A secluded beach.

The park had a few animals. We can't resist cute animal pictures.
We walked along the western edge of the park. The view along the seawall was amazing.
Beach art made from stones.

The sun got very hot around mid-afternoon, so we decided to cut back through the centre of the park, through the extensive woods.

The footpath through the woods.
Of course, it isn't all balconies and parks. There's an actual city around here somewhere, surely?
