2002
We'd decided it was high time for a proper meetup with the coterie of mudders who were in or around Cambridge. After much frantic organisation, we managed to arrange some sort of vague plan for the day.
We got to the meeting point at a reasonably early time, and hung around to wait for the mudders. jwalrus was the first to arrive, and the only one of the Cambridge lot to appear on time. He hung around for long enough to have his photo taken before dashing off to a lecture.
Just after jwalrus had departed, maga turned up, bearing scarf. Iain decided to take a photo while we were waiting for boingball. Some passing students seemed confused by this.
After a short wait, boingball turned up. The merry gang posed for a photo, and then we headed off to find some fudge and a nice cosy pub to wait around in.

Iain, of course, wanted to take photos of me. I evaded them to the best of my ability.

In the pub, we met up with Jon Ingold. We sat, we drank, we chatted.

After meeting up with jwalrus again after his lecture had finished, we were all feeling a little peckish. We wandered around most of Cambridge until we found a tapas bar, and sat around eating very tasty food and spilling water all of the table.
Now, I point out that maga and I had agreed beforehand that I would push him into the River Cam at some point during the day. Much discussion of the organisational details of this took place over the course of the day. At some point (after pub number 3 or 4, I think) we decided that the time had come.
