ROMANCE NOVEL WRITER
and
MARQUESSA OF LANGUAGE

Actually really enjoys writing romance novels for a living, sees them as a 'perfectly valid form of artistic self-expression, thank you very much'. Is 34 years old, single, and lives with a small highland terrier called Pootles. Has a cousin who she visits for tea once a fortnight, but otherwise the only people she sees regularly are her publishers and the one devoted fan who tracked her down. This is George Patterson, who sends her flowers and proposals every time a new book is published. She's rather fond of him, but wouldn't ever think of him as being serious about this. Her proudest moment was winning the 'New Female British Novel Writers' award for her first novel (well, she had thought she was doing mainstream fiction, but she is staunchly proud of her romance novel career). The only cover artist who she feels accurately depicts her ideas is Gaston LeCroq.

Appearance: Human, but with eyes completely dark grey. Prim and prissy. Given to wearing tweeds, twin-sets, pearls, matching earrings, etc. A picture of her can be found here
