I wrote this game in February 2002 for Storme Winfield's Romance Novel Comp. I believe it was the first TADS 3 game ever to be released (other than Mike Roberts' own example game). Unfortunately this meant that most people were unable to play it, because TADS 3 is still a work in progress, and the interpreter used to play the game rapidly got out of sync with the version of the compiler I used to write it.
Somehow it still got nominated for a couple of XYZZY awards, and some people have expressed an interest in playing it again. Therefore, I've recompiled the game using the very latest version of TADS 3. And here it is!
This is the third edition of the game, dated 11 March 2003.
Please note that you need a recent version of the T3 interpreter to play this game. The Windows interpreter on the IF archive is not the latest one: Mike doesn't upload every single release, because he doesn't want to swamp the archive with updates.
Windows and Unix users should get the interpreter from Mike's site. At the time of writing, the latest interpreter is dated 23 February 2003, and works fine with this game.
Mac users need HyperTADS 1.3.3 or later.
