Sin and Salvation
Envy
Green herbs slithering through mint, lime and lavender.
Sharp, but in a nice way. A bit too eucalyptus-y for me, nonetheless. (My forum review).
Greed
Base and earthy, yet glittering with golden notes: patchouli, heliotrope, copal and oakmoss.
Dark wet rich loamy soil and spicy musks and woods. Not my style, but pleasant to sniff at. (My forum review).
Lust
Uncontrollable passion and insatiable sexual desire: red musk, patchouli, ylang ylang and myrrh.
A resinous hippy-shop sort of scent, and Iain's not a fan. (My forum review).
Wrath
Dragon's blood spiked with black pepper, clove, and cinnamon.
Smelled exactly like Three Witches - so, exactly Atomic Fireballs. Alas. (My forum review).
The Bow and Crown of Conquest
Sage, carnation and cedar with lavender, vanilla, white musk and leather.
A nice scent eventually, but I don't feel the need to keep this around. (My forum review).
Death on a Pale Horse
Empty white musk and mint seeped with solemn lavender, doleful patchouli and vetiver, scythe-sharp yuzu and lime, with geranium bourbon, white sandalwood and calla lily.
Patchouli and men's cologne, and none of the stuff I was expecting. Enh. (My forum review).
The Great Sword of War
Mandarin, tonka, saffron, black tea, cocoa, tobacco leaf, sanguine red musk and five classical herbs of conflict.
Started off brash and hot-spicy-foody, ended up sort of icky and dirty. (My forum review).
Anathema
Black opium, with vetivert and honeysuckle.
Vanishingly faint honeysuckle with smokiness. What there is, is lovely. But not worth keeping at this faintness. (My forum review).
Black Dahlia
Voluptuous magnolias strewn over orchid, star jasmine, black amber and smoky rose
Floral yet acidic. Glargh. Not for me at all. (My forum review).
Dirty
A fresh, crisp white linen scent: perfectly clean, perfectly breezy.
Slightly citrus hints and strong clean-linen scent, fades fast on my skin; great for scenting my linen cupboard with. (My forum review).
Dorian
A sweet gilded blossom lying over a twisted and corrupted core. A Victorian fougere with three pale musks and dark, sugared vanilla tea.
Sweet but not-cloying vanilla tea. Iain likes it. (My forum review).
Fallen
Cherubic white sandalwood and golden musk with a dark halo of amber, a breath of imperial florals, unbending woods, and the shadow cast by vetiver and violet.
Somewhat undistinguished faint and masculine woods-and-musk blend. (My forum review).
Languor
Paperwhite and black narcissus, three lilies, black poppy and tuberose and a hint of hypnotic opium den haze.
Very light, sort of perfumey lily/poppy haze. I have better poppy scents. (My forum review).
Laudanum
Nutmeg, sassafras, black poppy and myrrh.
Yum. Somehow christmassy, but warming and spicy and nutmeggy and faintly gingerbread-ish. (My forum review).
Magdalene
A bouquet of white roses, labdanum, and wild orchid.
The labdanum throws this all out of joint. Like old greasepaint and stale perfume when dry. (My forum review).
Malediction
Contains red patchouli and vetivert.
Mrf, all vetiver and no patchouli, and smells like a moodier, evil Wolfsbane. Bleh. (My forum review).
Oblivion
Dark musk, wood spice, labdanum, patchouli, dark African woods, and saffron.
Wow. Lovely. Like a darker Morocco, all musk and darkness and yum. Also smells great on Iain. (My forum review).
Sea of Glass
A scent of inimitable purity, crystalline grace, and limitless light.
A light, technological sort of scent. When I want to smell like the future, I go to this bottle. Amazing. (My forum review).
Sin
Thoroughly corrupted: amber, sandalwood, black patchouli and cinnamon.
Soft and warm earthy cinnamon. Another one for my rapidly-growing warm-and-spicy collection. (My forum review).
