Love Potions
Bathsheba
Carnation, sensual plum, and Arabian musk.
Sounded like it should be great, but never quite blended enough and then went powdery. Meh. (My forum review).
Casanova
A rakish blend of leather, anise, lavender, bergamot and amber with tonka, lemon peel and lusty patchouli.
Mmm. It's maybe a bit generic, but man, that's definitely a blend for a sexy rake of a man to wear. (My forum review).
Desire
Bittersweet neroli, black patchouli and black musk, gilded by apple, bergamot, blood red rose, teak, and vanilla.Ugh, no, sharp yet dry. And kinda soapy, too. I think not. (My forum review).
Depraved
Earthy black patchouli swelling with apricot.
I think perhaps black patchouli is not my thing, but the apricot was nice. Ultimately blech, however. (My forum review).
Endymion
A sweet, wistful blend of d'Anjou pear, Lily of the Valley, bois du rose and white musk.
Nice pear and musk, soapy lily and rose, sigh. (My forum review).
Hetairae
A seductive and dazzling blend of golden honey, fiery patchouli, sweet fig and clove, and a blushing touch of ylang ylang.
Iain likes it, I think it smells like perfumed baby powder soap. Weird. (My forum review).
Kabuki
Compelling, complex, and utterly enigmatic: a luxuriant, exotic blend of cherry, red musk, and star anise.
Cherry Bakewell in the imp, fading to a nice faintly cherry-anise red musk scent. (My forum review).
La Belle Au Bois Dormant
Plumeria and white pear, Damascus rose, tuberose, magnolia and evening dew.
Soft gentle pears and florals. Fades a bit fast, but very pretty and light. (My forum review).
The Lady of Shalott
The scent of calm waters just before a raging storm, limned with achingly-beautiful blooms, an icy scent, but somehow warm, and mirror-bright: bold gardenia, crystalline musk, muguet, water blossoms, clear, slightly tart aquatic notes and a crush of white ginger.
Smelled like it should be pretty, but ended up as rotting flowers and celery. Enh. (My forum review).
La Petite Mort
The scent of warm, damp skin flushed with the glow of passion, touched by the luxuriant potency of ylang ylang and myrrh.
Dries down to sugary baby powder with rank sweatiness on the edge. Yargh. (My forum review).
Lucy's Kiss
The gentle scent of rose and a blend of Victorian spices.
Dry powdery soapy form of London. Nope. (My forum review).
Maiden
White tea, carnation and Damask Rose.
From maidenly carnation and tea and citrus to powdery rose to deep warm clove. Unpredictable but a keeper. (My forum review).
Muse
A light, invigorating floral and citrus blend. Tuberose, lotus and jasmine with a hint of lime.
Jasmine jasmine powder ick. Ah well, it's what I was expecting. (My forum review).
Nefertiti
Egyptian iris and olibanum with red and white sandalwood, soft myrrh and a breath of North African herbs.
No sandalwood! Not nearly kickass enough for the name, all pale and weedy. (My forum review).
O
Amber and honey with a touch of vanilla.
Very sweet powdery vanilla-honey - not for me. (My forum review).
Perversion
Smoky rum and black tobacco with a whisper of steamy leather with a splash of crystalline chardonnay, layered over a sensual, sweet, and deceptively magnetic base of tonka.
Smells like the sort of pub old men hang out in, all dark and sticky and stale. (My forum review).
Psyche
Bulgar rose, Chinese white musk, lavender, orchid and frankincense.
The imp smelled good, but frankincense doesn't love me - makes this become sour and cloying and fusty. (My forum review).
Salome
Almond with star jasmine, oakmoss, red sandalwood and Egyptian musk.
Augh. I don't think jasmine or almond work on me very well, and as a whole this smells like a chemical mess. (My forum review).
Severin
Dry black teas, Earl Gray, and leather.
Where'd my citrus go? A faintly sharp and sweaty leather smell, sort of enh. Alas. (My forum review).
Snake Oil
A blend of exotic Indonesian oils sugared with vanilla.
Ah yes, this *does* have honey in, or something that cloys in the same syrupy way. (My forum review).
Succubus
Mimosa, orange blossom, neroli and bergamot with a drop of sweet clove.
I like the taste of bergamot. As it turns out, I don't want to wear a scent that smells entirely of bergamot. Sharp, bitter, yick. (My forum review).
The Temptation
Attar of rose, calla lily, palmarosa, peach blossom, wisteria, rice flower, and black musk.
Soft, creamy peachy blossoms over subtle musk, but incredibly faint on my skin. Sigh. (My forum review).
Vixen
The innocence of orange blossom tainted by the beguiling scents of ginger and patchouli.
Aw yeah, creamy delicious spicy-vanilla-musky goodness is how this ends up on me. Awesome. (My forum review).
Wanda
Her scent is a deep red merlot with a faint hint of leather, sexual musk and body heat over crushed roses, violets and myrtle.
Wanda is stinky drunken woman who likes to eat licorice. Yick. (My forum review).
Whip
Agony and ecstasy: black leather and damp red rose.
Smells weird in the imp, blends wonderfully on my skin. Very womanly and warm. (My forum review).
